Winter hiking

Strap on your snowshoes and hike cross-country through the snowy, untouched landscape in the Hohe Tauern National Park. Guided tours with National Park Rangers are also possible in winter. Cleared winter hiking trails make it easier to get around and give you a clear view of the beautiful winter landscape of East Tyrol. Ski touring is absolutely trendy and shows the region in its most natural form. Skiing down through the powder after the ascent is a unique feeling and promises a superlative adventure.

Tobogganing

Enjoy a romantic walk through the wintry forest and then stop at the rustic toboggan hut for a hearty snack of Ripperlen and homemade pastries. On the illuminated toboggan run Würfelehütte you can then start the descent at any time. The toboggan hut can be reached on foot in about 45 minutes. As an alternative, you can also be brought to the toboggan hut with a feeder service.

You do not own a toboggan? Don't panic! Even that doesn't stand in the way of tobogganing fun. At the Würfelehütte you can rent a toboggan for the descent on the toboggan run.

400 km of cross-country trails for skaters and classic skiers will excite every cross-country skier - and these trails are surrounded by 266 legendary three-thousanders.
