A BREATH OF NEW LIFE FOR HOTEL RAUTER
Behind Hotel Rauter`s distinctive facade, lies an Alpine holiday hotel which combines tradition with modern ambience. The hotel has been
regarded as an insider tip among artists and travellers from all over the world since the very beginnings of Alpine tourism.
Now the Gourmet Hotel Rauter radiates a new splendour. The SPAradies was finished just in time for the 2009 summer season. Covering an area of
over 1,000 m², it has emerged as an oasis of tranquillity. An elegant lounge with a view of the pool and garden and the Smoker`s Bar complete
the first stage of construction.
Architects Reinhard Madritsch and Robert Pfurtscheller have ingeniously transformed the residence, breathing new life into the building
created by Peter Thurner in the early 80`s. At that time the hotel was a subject of dispute between architects and colleagues; now it is
setting the trend for tourist architecture in the Alpine region. Madritsch und Pfurtscheller have restored the hotel`s unique character, even
reinstating the extra “T” of the old “Rautter” hotel name sign.
